Conditions of Use
Locker Rooms
For the privacy of our patrons, the use of cell phones, cameras, and recording devices is strictly prohibited in all locker rooms
- All personal items should be stored in a secured locker
- Lockers are available for day use only unless reserved annually at our Welcome Desk (subject to availability)
- Unauthorized locks may be cut and items removed nightly
- Equipment such as hand dryers and bathing suit dryers should be used for their intended purposes only
- Please report equipment malfunction or damage to Welcome Desk
- Please be mindful of others; the RECC is a “scent aware” facility
- Outdoor footwear is not permitted in the Fitness Centre or on the pool deck
- No food or drink, with the exception of water bottles, is permitted in the Fitness Centre or on the pool deck
- Please turn in any found items at the Welcome Desk
- Proper swim attire is required in the pool. Cut off shorts, underwear, and loose fitting clothing are not permitted
- Anyone not toilet trained must wear water resistant swimwear. Cloth or disposable diapers are not permitted
PLEASE NOTE:
- Preschool males (5 yrs & under) are permitted in the female locker room when accompanied by their female parent/guardian
- Preschool females (5 yrs & under) are permitted in the male locker room when accompanied by their male parent/guardian
- Parents accompanying their opposite gender children 6 yrs and older MUST use the Family Locker Room
- The Family Locker Room is primarily for parents with young children
Athletic Development Centre
** A VALID MEMBERSHIP, DAY PASS, OR RESERVATION IS REQUIRED FOR USE OF THIS AREA
- Youth under 16 are not permitted in the ADC unless accompanied by a fitness trainer/coach or with written approval from the Fitness Manager (orientation or proof of equipment knowledge is required)
- All RECC members are permitted access to the ADC unless RECC programming or private bookings are scheduled
- Non-Members may use the ADC with the purchase of a day pass
- All Drop-In Users and Members must read the RECC General Liability Waiver and sign the drop in sheet located in the ADC
- Ensure proper safety techniques are employed when using equipment
- Weights are to be returned to the rack after use
- Do not drop the weights
- Spray and wipe equipment when finished
- Appropriate attire is required (shirts are mandatory at all times)
- No outside footwear, sandals or bare feet
- Foul language is not permitted
- Food is not permitted
- Improper use of equipment and/or damage may result in removal of privileges
- Please turn in any found items to the Welcome Desk
Climbing Wall
** A VALID MEMBERSHIP, DAY PASS, OR A RESERVATION IS REQUIRED FOR USE OF THIS AREA
Please check in with Climbing Wall Staff¬ before climbing; NO exceptions
PLEASE NOTE:
- Youth 18 and under must have a parent/legal guardian read and complete a liability waiver prior to ANY climbing
- Youth 15 and under must have a parent/legal guardian present to be allowed in the climbing area unless registered for a youth program
- Children 3 and under may NOT use the Auto Belay
- Only Auto-Belay is available during regular climbing hours; otherwise climber must have partner with B4U climb certification, or purchase of “Hire-A- Belayer”
- Staff¬ reserve the right to limit/restrict the number of persons in the climbing zone
- Appropriate shoes and clothing must be worn; Outside shoes and bare feet are not permitted
- Shirts must be worn at all times
- Individuals not following guidelines may lose Climbing Wall privileges
- Parents/guardians are responsible to enforce appropriate behaviour and ensure their children’s safety
- No food or drink, with the exception of water bottles, is allowed in the climbing zone
- Patrons who are suspected to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be prohibited from entering the climbing zone
- All equipment must be returned to proper storage following use
- Please turn in any found items at the Welcome Desk
THE RECC WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN PERSONAL ITEMS
Arena & Dressing Rooms
** ALL YOUTH AGES 15 AND UNDER ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE ADULT SUPERVISION DURING DRESSING ROOM USE
** NO REGULAR FOOTWEAR ON THE ICE SURFACE; SKATES MANDATORY
ARENA (SKATING)
- Helmets are recommended for all ages
- Youth 12 and under MUST wear a helmet on the ice (complimentary helmets available)
- Youth 7-14 are only permitted on the ice with parental supervision unless registered with a supervised youth program
- Youth 6 and under must have a parent/guardian within arms’ length at all times while skating
- No one permitted on ice during resurfacing; Zamboni doors must be closed before anyone may return to the ice
- Use of skate aids is permitted, but no chairs may be used on the ice
- Organizations and groups renting ice will be held responsible for their members and guests
- Users will be held responsible for any stolen items and/or damage to the dressing rooms
- Dressing room door must be locked when leaving the room unattended
- Only authorized groups will be allowed dressing room access
- Any individual found in a dressing room who is not associated with that group will be trespassing
- Users are responsible for light cleaning of the dressing room before leaving, including all tape, garbage, and showers
- Smoking, chewing tobacco, hookahs, and e-cigarettes are prohibited in all areas of RECC property
- Chewing and spitting sunflower seeds is prohibited in the RECC
- No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted to be brought into the facility

Child-Minding
**Please note: Our Child Minding service is currently suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions.
** THERE IS A 1.5 HOUR TIME LIMIT PER VISIT
Pre-Registration is required 24 hours in advance for babies ages 6 weeks to 1 year
RECOMMENDED MINIMUM AGE: 6 weeks; MAXIMUM AGE: 12 years
MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 6 children for 1 staff; 12 children for 2 staff
- Pre-registration time slots are available during scheduled times for children under 12 months of age;
- Registration is available at the Welcome Desk 24 hours in advance
- All payments for Child-Minding services must be made at the Welcome Desk prior to entry
- Child Enrollment forms must be completed prior to use of Child-Minding services
- Allergies or medical conditions must be clearly outlined on the enrollment form
- All parents must present a ticket to the Child-Minding Associate
- When pre-registered, there is a 15 minute grace period for arrivals; late arrivals will be considered a “no-show” after 15 minutes and the remainder of the time slot will be given to the next waiting parent
- Children displaying signs of sickness (i.e. coughing, diarrhea, vomiting, unexplained rash, runny nose) will not be admitted to the Child-Minding space
- Parents/Guardians must indicate which area of the RECC they will be using and remain onsite at all times
- Parents/Guardians will be notified to come immediately if a child is in distress for more than 10 minutes
- Snacks are permitted, but are only to be eaten in the designated eating area
- Glass containers are not permitted in the Child-Minding space
- RECC will post notices and alert patrons at the Welcome Desk when Child-Minding services are full to capacity
- Child-Minding services will not be o¬ffered on holidays
Sauna
** FOR USE BY PERSONS AGED 14 AND OLDER; NO EXCEPTIONS!
** This Is A DRY Sauna. Please DO NOT Put Water On The Rocks.
- This is a co-ed sauna; Appropriate clothing must be worn at all times
- Please shower before using the pool after sauna use

- Exit the sauna immediately if feeling faint or dizzy AND alert pool staff¬

SAUNA TEMPERATURES WILL NOT EXCEED 90°C
SAUNA TIMER AND TEMPERATURE ARE CONTROLLED AND MONITORED BY LIFEGUARD STAFF
Swimming Pool
** ALL PATRONS MUST SHOWER THOROUGHLY BEFORE ENTERING THE POOL
** NO RUNNING ON DECK; NO ELECTRONICS (CAMERA, PHONE, ETC) ON DECK
PLEASE NOTE:
- Children 11 and under must have an adult (16+ yrs) remain onsite within close proximity to the pool
- Children 7 and under must have an adult (16+ yrs) within arm’s length at all times while in the pool
- Lifeguards are Pool Authorities; follow their directions at all times
- Only one person permitted on the diving board or slide at a time
- Slide users must be 48” tall
- Feet first at all times on the slide
- Diving is permitted o¬ the pool deck in the deep end of the competitive pool only
- No use of a lifejacket on the big diving board
- No running on diving boards
- No swimming under or hanging on the diving boards when they are in use
- Maximum of 4 persons in one lane for lane swimming
- No roughhousing

Turf-Fit Zone
** A VALID MEMBERSHIP, ACCESS PASS, OR RESERVATION IS REQUIRED FOR USE OF THIS AREA
Exclusive use of the Turf-Fit Zone and equipment requires a reservation
Please contact our Welcome Desk to reserve the Turf-Fit Zone
**CLEATS AND OUTSIDE FOOTWEAR ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE TURF OR TRACK
PLEASE NOTE:
- Youth age 13-15 may access the Turf-Fit Zone once successfully completing a Fit Start Orientation
- Youth age 12 and under are only permitted in the Turf-Fit Zone with parental/coach supervision
- Youth under the age of 12 ARE NOT permitted on the Turf-Fit Zone unless registered with a supervised youth program
- Please be mindful of Track/TFZ program schedule prior to use
- Please give right of way to Track users while using and exiting the turf area
- Proper safety techniques must be employed when using equipment
- Equipment must be returned to proper location after use
- Improper use of equipment and/or damage may result in loss of privileges
- Foul language is not permitted
Fitness Centre
** ALL USERS MUST CHECK IN PRIOR TO ENTRY
** A class pass is required for group fitness program participation
PLEASE NOTE:
- Patrons 16 and older may work out independently; a complimentary Fit Start Orientation is strongly encouraged
- Youth 13-15 may work out independently once they have successfully completed a complimentary Fit Start Orientation (conditions apply)
- Youth age 12 may work out with a parent once they have both successfully completed a complimentary Fit Start Orientation
- Children under 12 ARE NOT permitted in the Fitness Centre on Group Exercise Studio unless registered for a supervised youth program
- Youth 14 and older may attend all group exercise classes on their own
- Youth age 13 may attend yoga, spin, boot-camp, and Zumba if accompanied by an adult
- Personal items are not to be stored in the Fitness Centre; Please use designated cubbies or locker rooms
- Appropriate attire is required; no bra tops, no cut-o¬ffs
- Outside footwear, sandals, and bare feet are not permitted in the Fitness Centre or on the Track
- Foul language is not permitted
- Food is not permitted in the Fitness Centre
- Proper safety techniques must be employed when using equipment
- Weights are to be returned to rack after usage
- Set weights down gently; Do not drop weights intentionally
- All equipment and weights are to be sprayed and wiped down following use
- Improper use of equipment may result in loss of privilege
- Please turn in any found items at the Welcome Desk
